Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park is located far far away from previous place I visited. While the extra effort to get here is worth it for sure.

On the way to Everglades I stopped on a beach in Naples

On Tuesday I visited the west part of the park. I started with a boat trip from Everglades City - it was really nice to see nature that growth in miture of salt (coming from Gulf of Mexico) and sweta (coming from land) water. A lot of birds lives here, as well as dolphins ! This part of park is so caled "Ten Thousand Islands" - as per definitione it is enough 1 tree to call an islands ;-)

Taking a picture of delphin is not easy ;-)

Next part was a bus trip thru Shark Valley - there are no shark here despite the name, however aligators are present :-) In dry season - which in Florida is from December till April - you can see hundreds of tchem...while numer of tourists is much higher as well...

He was laying beside the road...

...and got underwater only when we get very close

Yesterday morning I drove on a scenic road towards Flaming - south part of the park. This place is still in rebuilding after 2005 Katrn hurricane. Hikes aren't possible now as numer of mosquitoes is extremely high - such activity is parked till (maybe in future) dry season trip to Florida.
