Key West ... and 2nd turning point of my trip

When I reched Cape Flattery I wrote this waas a turning point for my trip. When I reched Key West it is a same case - it means I drove from the most nort-west point to the southernmost point of USA :-)

Key Largo is first and Key West last of Keys

Draw bridge open just in fromt of me for coming yacht

 

Old bride - cutted and open for easier sailing

7 Miles Bridge - 11 kilometers, remaining of old one on the right

Whole Keys - from which Key West is the last one - is 119 miles (190 km) road that goes from Florida coast into ocean. One can see that tourism  - especially fishing and water sports - is the main source of incom here. Key West if for sure worth few hours to visti and relax when enjoying see food :-)

The end of US 1 - ... and start :-)

 

Now I have to get back to Chicago -  I have over a week, so I hope to see more interesting things on my way.

Ps. Weather in Florida was really good so far. I had 2 heavy thnderstorms on Tuesday- so I got wet before I manged to get my rain coat on - and yesterdy at Key West temperatur and humidity made me wet as well.
