The Grand Canyon

Last 2 days I spent in (I believe) the biggest national park - it is so huge that one can see it from space! Grand Canyon is really huge in size and his geological structure is amazing and can be see with own eyes.

On Tuseday I visited the north rim - it so much less crowded and just by this I can spend there a lot of time. It is also located at higher elevation then south rim, so the perspective is different. I saw some amazing places and I confirm this place is worth come for more hiking.

11 miles in straight line and over 200 miles on the road to get to south rim

 
Yesterday I visited the south rim. I started at east side where I visited historical watch tower that is now also used as museum of local Indian arts. Afterwards I left motorcycle in the parking at took a shuttle bus to west part of canyon. I took a long walk back, sometimes being just on the edge of the canyon.

South rim, most tourist come here to see canyon - while it is not that crowded elsewhere

Grand Canyon made a huge impression on me - however the size of it is so big I believe just walking on the edge is not showing everything it could. A chooper fight or hike down inside canyon (which is a tough 2 days trip) could add more into this - and so I hope to have a Chance to be back here once more.

After seeing the canyon I had a short drive and I reached Route 66 - my target place for coming days. I visited Willimas yesterday and now I leave from Flagstaff where I spen the night.

Ps. The trip was too easy so far, so 2 days ago I was heavy bitten by some insect. As my own medicaments didn't work, I visited pharmacy yesterday and applied their suggestion. It looks much better today and so I can continu my trip.
