I’m writing this sitting in my tent, just before my last
night here in Yellowstone (I’ll publish once I reach place with interente
access). I spend 2,5 days here and can say it was worth to make such long stop
in this area. I manager to see almost all key atractions of the park and in
addition I made some hikes as well.
Number 1 on my top list f for sure the Grand Canyon of
Yellowstone. Views are amazing (from both sides) and the river looks really
dangerous.
View from north side
South side - the lowest level
South side - way back thru 352 steps...
Second place is for Norris Geyser– it is so colourful and
has so big variety of shapes and behaviours, that only here I understood the
huge power of forces of nature that are present here.
Last place on the podium is for Lamar Valley – super
environment, fantastic views and … less people then in main attractions.
Lamar Valley
Trout Lake
You could see trout going against the flow to the lake !
Moreover I saw following geysers: Old Faithful (where
erruption is time is reallly being predicted within +/- 10 minutes !), Mammoth
Hot Springs (and its amazing terrace) ,
West Thumb (being connected directly with Yellowstone lake) and any more
(that are stored in pictures and movies)
A lot of people waiting for the geyser to wake up
Old Faithful show starts
Panorama of Yellowston Lake, west side
Dack Lake - very small lake and I was there alone !
Beside these main Yellowstone attrations I saw wildlife
which is present here all the time. I haven’t seen bear nor wof – which is
maybe good – while I saw bisons, elks and even spleeing moose. I also manager
to capture praierie dog – in previous parks they run away just for click of
camera.

Elks in lunch time
Bison in the afternoon
Interesting experience is staying in the campground – one of
the things is that eerything with odour (food, cosmetis etc.) has to be locked
in „bear box”, which is not possible for bear to open.

Tomorrow my next attraction - Grand Teton National Park, and
afterwards I turn north and rive towards Glacier National Park.
Ps. Thank you for comments and ideas, hereby I add one of them.
